ZAIt was a large room with its own lounge area, great fruit trees outside and breakfast ready for me in the morning.
Like most places I stayed in Sri Lanka, it sorely needs netting over the windows. The place was completeley airless with no way to let air in. This small change would make a very big difference.
GBIt was tucked away from the main road so it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The family who run it seemed nice and friendly. Some communication issues.
The room I got was not the one I booked. In the description for the room I booked it stated โone bedroom HOUSE, located entirely on the ground floor, consists of one bedroom and three bathrooms, boasting a terrace with garden views this holiday home also provides a tea and coffee maker and a flat screen TVโ. It also said the room came with 2 double beds. When I arrived I was taken to a room on the second floor, a tiny box room with one double bed and one single bed squeezed in. No TV. No tea or coffee maker. When I went to talk to him he told me โitโs the same priceโ and I said what? I want the holiday home I booked. And he said no you booked drivers room(????) no I didnโt I booked the holiday home. It says it on booking.com. It wasnโt even on the ground floor. He eventually offered to change rooms, but we had already unpacked and we were going on a full day safari the next day so just didnโt care by this point. They served no food when we arrived the whole day, and itโs in the middle of nowhere so had to walk a distance to find a restaurant. The day after our safari they did dinner. 3000 rupees between two people, it was nice but didnโt get much curry for a rice and curry. I thought expensive for what you got. Also beer the most expensive Iโve seen in Sri Lanka. I left my sunglasses behind (totally my fault) and they offered no solution to help get them back to me.

it is a little further from the national park , but very close to main road where we rook bus to Anuradaphura
SEWe booked this accommodation to go on safari, and the location was perfect. The room had AC, and both the breakfast and dinner were tasty and offered at a good price. We highly recommend staying here!

BELa chambre et la salle de bain รฉtaient impeccables. Premier hรดtel de notre voyage oรน il n'y ร rien ร redire avec la propretรฉ. La clim fonctionne trรจs bien. Le personnel รฉtait trรจs gentil, et nous a aidรฉ ร organiser un safari, en derniรจre minute. L'emplacement est lรฉgรจrement en retrait de la route donc la nuit, c'est vraiment calme, avec un beau petit jardin, sur l'avant. Il y a un restaurant local a 2 minutes ร pied (best roti) ou l'on mange super bien et pour rien du tout. Vraiment je recommande.

GBWe went for the one bedroom bungalow and a half board basis for 3 nights. They also have double rooms available. Our room consisted of a large sitting room, kitchen area, private bathroom and shower and a large bedroom that had 2 double beds in it and air conditioning and our own covered patio area, the whole place is spotless clean. The breakfast and evening meal was delicious and changed each day, and was served overlooking the garden. Sanda, the guy who makes everything happen is just an amazing young man. He arranged everything for us, we did the jeep safari into wilputtu national park which is only a 10 minute drive away, and for a tuk tuk into the local town about 8km away. His price was the best price without any of the hassle. There is a juice place over the road and a bar and restaurant and off licence a short walk away. There is no bar on the premises, so bring your own beer and there is an easy access fridge freezer to keep it cold. The cost is very very reasonable, and when you see what you get for your money, it becomes an absolute treat. Again Sanda, is just a true gentleman and it was a delight to spend time in his company. He is an asset to this small family run business, and all credit to him for his positive attitude, respect of life and love for his family.
