Nagi Nijo Castle

Cette maison japonaise typique, dans un quartier résidentiel de Kyoto, était parfaite pour s'intégrer et vivre en dehors de la zone hyper touristique. Les matériaux de cette maison sont chaleureux et très harmonieux. Nous avons adoré y vivre une petite semaine. C'était parfait pour récupérer entre deux visites touristiques. Les lits sont très confortables et les chambres très lumineuses. Pratique aussi de pouvoir utiliser un lave-linge. Le wc à l'étage et au rez-de-chaussée facilitent bien des choses quand on voyage en famille !

Tout petit bémol... Le voisin de la maison mitoyenne, à gauche quand on regarde la maison, met toute la journée et la nuit la télévision assez fort, et tousse malheureusement très fort, jour et nuit. Les murs ne sont pas très épais et dans la chambre côté rue, le vent souffle au travers des fenêtres.

The property is located a little away from the tourist area which was great for us. You really get a neighborhood feel that is impossible in other areas, but it may not be what everyone is looking for. The house is fairly close to bus stations that can get you anywhere you need in 30 min. There are great places to eat, get groceries, etc close by. The house itself is a great property: an authentic Kyoto machiya type of house with a traditional layout including a garden and bathroom with soaker tub. The sleeping area is simple and a bit rustic but just fine. Beds are fairly comfortable. We needed the heater on in March/ April and it was functioning properly.

The main issue is that the neighbor has the TV on 24/7 and you will hear it constantly, all day and night. We were out most days and home only to eat and sleep, so we lived with it, but you will never experience complete quiet in the home. Another issue we had was that the kitchen was not well appointed. There were not enough dishes, no glasses (only a few tea cups), no lids for pans, and no salt, pepper or other starter items that are typical of a short term rental. If you don't plan on cooking, it may not be an issue, but for our family of 5, it is one of the reasons we opt out of hotels and is important.

Lovely, traditional style double storey house with plenty of space to accommodate families. Two large bedrooms, upstairs with very comfortable beds! Two toilets, one up stairs and one downstairs is a bonus! Located close to main road so plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Washing machine and dryer but drying rack provided by the heater proved more efficient. A little way from the main Kyoto station but that is the compromise you make for having so much room. Close to Naji Castle and Naji Station

Could do with some tea and coffee and some more glasses and cups perhaps but otherwise we loved it!

Urocza okolica i świetny klimat miejsca. Cicha okolica. Sklepy blisko.

Brak sprzętu do posprzątania jak miotła czy ścierka. Zamek do drzwi prawie się wyrywa.

Bon emplacement, beaucoup d'espace. Logement confortable, chauffage de qualité, vaisselle en quantité suffisante. Le logement est très beau, et très propre.

Emplacement un peu difficile à trouver, mais l'hôte a été facilement joignable et réactif.

部屋はまぁまぁ綺麗でした。

洗濯機があるけど洗濯洗剤空っぽ。お風呂の洗い場の四隅は黒カビ？あり。

周りにたくさん食べるところがあり、中心から少し離れていた為観光客も少なめでレストランもスムーズに入れました。スーパーやコンビニ、銭湯も近くにあり便利でした。

飲むグラスがなく不便でした。また部屋は清潔とは言えません。所々廊下の壁に白カビが生えていました。お風呂場や洗面所も黒カビが壁や床に見えました。ベッドルームの隅や換気扇も埃だらけでした。またお風呂場に敷いてあった足マットもかなり使用感があり踏みたくない感じでした。またお隣の家との壁が薄すぎて、お隣さんのテレビの音、いびきや 咳払いが１日中丸聞こえです。なので畳の部屋で寝るにはかなり辛いです。２回のベッドルームの道路側も窓が薄いため、窓を開けてるかのように外の音がよく聞こえます。

We had a great stay at Nagi Nijo Castle! The unit was clean, modern, and very comfortable. It’s in a quiet area yet still conveniently located with easy access to transport and nearby attractions. The check-in process was smooth, and the host provided clear instructions. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto!

Could hear a lot of road noise from upstairs.
