Machiya Kyoto Shogoin

Tolles traditionelles Haus, sehr sauber und super gepflegt, mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Es waren auch Kosmetikartikel, Taschentücher, Tüten , Wasserflaschen, Tee, Kaffe, Öl, Gewürze. Wir hatten auch Fahrräder zur Verfügung, die eir gerne und oft genutzt haben. Ruhige Lage. Die Gastgeber haben uns am Abreisetag zum Bahnhof gebracht.

Cette maison est un petit bijou, très bien située par rapport aux sites de visites, près de la rivière Kamo, près d'un arrêt de bus. Les propriétaires sont adorables, aux petits soins. La maison est très bien équipée, très propre, avec du café, thé offerts...Des vélos sont mis à disposition, ce qui est l'idéal pour visiter Kyoto dans ce quartier à la fois calme et à proximité des sites. Une adresse à retenir.

Very spacious and comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood. Rear of the property runs along the edge of a Shugendo temple. Bicycle use made exploring the area very enjoyable. The house is equipped with high quality, modern conveniences but the tatami mats and traditional futon beds made it an authentic experience. The host is very knowledgeable and friendly.

It wasn't a problem for me but many of the techy household appliance (incl. hot water) controls are in Japanese and smart phone translations didn't work well. Be sure to ask questions before it's late at night!

Un quartier calme magnifique à explorer avec les vélos prêtés par notre hôte. Équipement parfait, une gentillesse absolue pour des vacances réussies.

Hele prima kwaliteit voor zijn beperkte prijs, goeie rustige ligging, vriendelijke (maar niet intrusieve) eigenaars (die ons zelfs met de auto naar de metro brachten). En : de fietsen, heerlijk en handig in Kyoto.

Misschien een beetje krap, maar dat wisten we op voorhand wel.

Hospitality of the owners is amazing. Not only he welcomed us at 6 am so 9 hours before our booking time but also help us back with our transfer and all luggage. I can highly recommend! Apart of the hospitality, the he house itself gives You feel like in real Japanese home so it is experience itself!

No such thing

Lovely location in a quiet university area and plenty of cheap eateries. It was great that we were able to use the bicycles to get around but plenty of nearby buses and underground stations. Hosts were really lovely and very kind! We hope to visit again.
