Villa Caterina

L'endroit est magnifique, au calme avec un beau jardin. Les villas sont grandes.

La piscine un peu froide.

The owner is very sweet and communication is easy. The location is fantastic, yet on a steep hill. Scary to drive and hard to climb. But it's a great workout. We actually appreciated the extra effort it took to get home. The views are incredible and Imperia is wonderful. Everything is close by and walkable. The property is charming and really well kept. There is great parking at the property. We definitely will come back to Imperia.

We would have liked a cozy couch or armchair. No place to relax in the evening except in bed. The rental was overall much smaller than anticipated. The shower head did barely work and the water was either scalding or cold (a fact we found overall in other vacation rentals in Italy as well). Bed linens were missing. The rental is a duplex which was a surprise also. There is visual privacy yet no acoustic privacy.

Die Villa ist sehr schön gelegen und der Ausblick auf die Stadt und das Meer fantastisch. Der Garten und der Pool sind ein riesiges Plus und eignen sich bestens zum entspannen. Alida ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Zu Fuss ist man in 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt, wo es diverse Restaurants gibt.

Die offizielle Strasse zur Villa ist extrem eng. Wir sind mit unserem Skoda Enyaq (Breite von Spiegel zu Spiegel 2.15m) ganz knapp durchgekommen, ich würde es jedoch nicht nochmals versuchen. Für die weiteren Ausflüge von der Villa aus und die Abreise haben wir von Alida einen zusätzlichen Schlüssel erhalten, mit welchem man über eine breitere Privatstrasse anfahren kann. Diese ist durch zwei Tore oben und unten abgesperrt.

Ottima posizione per visitare la città e tutto il lungo mare. Ambiente accogliente, ben curato, e discreto. Ottimo parcheggio all'interno della villa. Complimenti per la cura sotto tutti gli aspetti. Proprietari disponibili e gentili così come il personale che ci ha accolto.

Views from our terrace and from the pool were amazing. The owners were very friendly and responsive if we needed anything, also friendly towards our dog. We were able to pick and enjoy figs from their trees in the garden 😊. The Wi-Fi was a good signal and the small washing machine in our apartment very useful.

On arrival the drive up to the property was very narrow but the owners kindly gave us a key pass to the adjoining property meaning we could come and go during our stay using another route which was fine.

De locatie , de tuin en omgeving en vooral Het zoutwater zwembad met het beste en mooiste uitzicht op de oude stad was geweldig, prachtig en een aanrader. Ook voelt het als een Oase van rust. Super vriendelijke verhuurders en wij kregen met weggaan een hele mooie olijfolie mee uit de streek. Handig om te weten dat de weg naar de Villa toe heel erg smal is en als je van het platte land komt is dat best wennen. Voor onze auto was het echt Millimeter werk en het is geen eenrichtingsweg. Voor ons was dat spannend. De host had wel een goeie tip, use the claxon!!!

Als je zoals ik, van koken houd dan is de keuken en materialen minder geschikt. Los zittende kraan en handvatten van pannen en minder schoon als wat ik gewend ben. Maar ieder zo zijn eigen referentiekaders. Het heeft verder voor ons niet invloed op onze vakantie gehad omdat wij positief zijn ingesteld en overal een feestje van maken. Ik heb altijd gereedschap bij me en de boel weer aangedraaid. Of je gaat gewoon uit eten 🙂
