The location is near to Sanjo station. Walking distance to Shijo and other tourism places. The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Besides, it is very convenient for us to keep the luggage before check in. Highly recommended!

The only disadvantage is no washing machine.

Comfortable, modern, excellent location

So convenient location. Modern classic They kindly offered lagguage storage in the premise before and after check in and out. (From 11 am and till 3:30 pm) You do not need to do check in and out procedure. You just go there and punch in the key code to open and rock the door. Payment is just call to tell that you want pay with the credit card register with booking.com. So easy. No complication.

The house is duplex with staircases, which take much space and living space is a half of whole square meters indicated. Also entrance space with tatami room can be only used for luggage and dead space. Well, you can use for sorting luggage out before packing. There was no place to sit and relax. Only space was kitchen, dining, and living room combined for like less than 8 square meters (not sure if this is correct size) I guess the place for two people. More than that, there will be space issue. We stayed as three people for one night before leaving Kyoto so it was okay for the purpose. I saw a cockroach running across floor of bath room when I entered first thing in the morning. That was the worst point of the stay. Other than that, the stay served the purpose. All faculties were modern. Pontocho is car free zone so you need to go out to the car street and call a cab. But a short walk away like one min.

Excellent spot located on a great street near lots of restaurants. Property was very accommodating with leaving luggage early before check in. Even though the street could get busy at times it never got too loud in the house.

It’s a beautiful place to stay on a really cool narrow street. Close walk to the train station, tons of restaurants and in the middle of everything we wanted to do/see. Some reviews said the host did not communicate but we had a great experience! He was quick to respond and messaged us during the stay to see if we needed new towels, to have the trash emptied, etc. Wonderful stay!

The only thing was the beds are a bit hard, but the comforters are sooo comfy and fluffy

Love the location. It’s really convenient, super short walks to stations, convenience stores, market and shopping malls. And it’s surrounding by a lot of restaurants. And it’s super close to the river where we can sit and relax. It’s 5 mins walk to Sanjo station, 10 mins walk to Kyoto-Kawaramachi station, 10 mins walk to Gion, 2 mins walk to Lawson, and 8 mins walk from Uniqlo! It’s really roomy house, simple and beautiful! We can leave our luggage before checking in time from 10am to 4pm. And after the checkout from 11 am to 3 pm. It’s perfect for exploring Kyoto and come back during the evening for dinner, drinking, shopping and relaxing around the house.

-It’s a bit hard to connect with the owner. If you wanted to leave your luggages before checking in time, making sure that you got the code before you arrive at the house. -No iron, and laundry machine. -The lock felt a bit unsecured. It’s magnetic locking and we would need to wait a bit before it’s locked. We tried to pull it while it’s locked, but it seemed to working well (No one will be able to break in) -The checkin process felt a bit unsafe, and many people were walking around the house. So we need to cover the lock while we were trying to put the access codes. -Since it’s in the middle of the busy area. There will be lots of people walking around until midnight. - Bath tub was a bit small.
