Sometimes the room smells a bit musty, but it wasn't a big issue since they provide air purifier as well.

The location was convenient, with To-ji temple nearby, plenty of supermarkets within walking distance. Bus stops are close. The apartment is warm, with good bathroom that has plenty of body wash.

When I was making this reservation I thought that I was booking a one-bedroom "house". But the "house" turned out to be only one small apartment on the first floor. When I realized that my whole family will be sleeping on the floor in one room I tried to cancel the booking. I asked the host to cancel this booking without a fee, but they refused. That wasn't very nice of them, since there was more than a month before the trip. Inside the apartment it was very noisy due to transport on the road.

The property is close to Toji Station and across the road from Toji Temple (which is amazing and worth a visit). Also about 15 minutes walk to the Kyoto Station complex. The neighbourhood is authentic if that’s what you’re looking for.

Our previous booking was canceled so we booked on short notice and got Apartment A. The apartment is too small for the price per night even though the location is good. As other reviews have mentioned, the kitchen is an outdoor area separated from the bed room with a big step (not clear in photos). There is also a strange smell in the bathroom. The road connects to the main high way so there is loud traffic during the night and early mornings, so be prepared.

Traditional japanese room (tatami, shoji,...), well equipped, nice temple & shops + public transports nearby

Sleeping on tatami is nice experience but not so comfortable. No opaque curtains so room gets very bright around 6am: bring sleeping masks

Near Toji Temple and easy check in. Amenities were great! The cycling trip recommended was lovely too.

The flat was small but perfectly adequate if you want to spend time exploring the place. Lots of transport options nearby. An easy 15 minute walk to the main railway station. Most of the tourists seem to be on the "other side of the tracks" so found some nice tucked away places in the neighbourhood to explore. The Toji temple was just across the Main Street.
