Convenient location as the restaurant & supermarket is just within walking distance. Not mentioning the superb mount kinabalu view when you wake up in the morning. Distance to Kinabalu Park is only about 10 mins drive.

Personnel à l’accueil assez désagréable. Pas un sourire, un bienvenu… Ce n’était directement le manager j’imagine car nous parlions avec lui par téléphone. Mais personnel sur place surtout à l’accueil était assez spécial. En plus du fait qu’un Check in a 11h, ils ouvrent déjà la porte sans toquer avant l’heure pour regarder si on est parties... Bizarre. Nous avons trouvé l’ambiance bizarre.

The property is beautifully located and serves as a great starting point to visit Park Kinabalu and Ranau. The grounds are well-maintained, with enough parking and lovely, manicured gardens. The communication with the accommodation in advance was friendly and smooth. They were very flexible, as I had made a mistake in the dates and needed to postpone the booking by one day.

Unfortunately, it was not the right accommodation for us, and we would not book it again. We specifically chose this place because it advertises itself as being mindful of guests who value peace and quiet, particularly for an early night’s rest. This is even emphasized during check-in, with a reminder that “silence is golden by 11 pm.” However, many of the units are designed for families, with large terraces. As a result, there were several groups staying up late, talking and laughing loudly well into the night. The accommodations are poorly soundproofed, making it impossible to get to sleep early — which was essential for our planned early mountain hikes. We stayed for two nights, and the noise issues occurred on both nights, even with different groups of guests. This strongly suggests that it’s a recurring problem rather than an isolated incident. The sound insulation between the units is very poor, and unfortunately, no one seems to enforce the quiet hours, despite staff living on the premises. We also found the beds to be very uncomfortable, with minimal padding. The springs in the mattress were clearly noticeable, and overall, we slept very poorly. One unusual choice was the type of towels provided — synthetic “functional” towels branded by McDonald’s, which were not particularly pleasant or effective for drying off. we would have preferred a different choice, but that is certainly a matter of taste.

We got a family room with montain view. The view of mont Kinabalu in the morning is stunning. The room is big. Beds are quite comfortable. Wifi is good too. There are everything you need even for cooking. Just need to figure out how to turn on the hot Water. Check about this with the front desk will be useful. There is a lovely garden in the guest houes. Restaurant and supermaket are not far.
