Karapiro Retreats holiday house

The place was exactly as advertised with beautiful views and exceptionally clean and modern facilities. Breakfast cereals, milk, fruit and lollies amongst many other goodies were left for us. The hosts were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to host another member of our family for a night.

There is nothing we didn’t like about this property

The quality of this holiday home is incredible. The accommodation is beautifully designed, the kitchen has all the cooking facilities needed, the bathroom is elegant and in perfect working order, and the bed is excellent quality (we used just one of the two bedrooms). Located in a quiet rural area with the picturesque green rolling hillside that is unique to this part of the world. This accommodation is also well situated for visiting Hamilton (25 min), Blue Spring/Te Waihou (30 min), Hobbiton (20 min.), and other great nearby places. Just sitting on the deck viewing the scenery is a vacation in itself.

Not a single thing wrong with this property. It is perfect. The only issue is making a right turn from Karapiro Road to State Highway 1 (a few kms from the property). SH1 is congested, so vehicles are backed up on Karapiro and a right turn is sometimes challenging. NZTA needs to raise its standards.

It had everything for the self catering tourists like us. Lovely decor well laid out and neat as anything. In the country side but close enough to access the town and other attractions easily enough. A good base for Day trips to Rotorua, Hamilton and of course Cambridge area itself.

It’s not so much a didn’t like more to be aware of-The first time location and accessing from the road caught you unaware but ok after that.

Place is really nice, clean & quiet, complete with everything we need from cooking, laundry, wifi and parking.

Nothing

It was a real warm wellcome on christmas. Everything was prepared: the fridge was full of yummy things. We had a lot of things for breakfast or tea. The whole house was very clean, brand new and the toilets facilities were so fine, that webought them for our futher trip. The sourrounding is so nice for relaxing. We already missed the house when leaving!

The house was nice and clean and in a quiet area! Very spacious and so peaceful, especially sitting out on the deck. If you want a getaway to just relax, this is it. The place had everything you need for cooking, showering etc. Even sky tv :) I was amazed at how much thought was put into preparing the place to cater for people's needs

We didn't get to spend much time during the day in the house because we had an event on, so probably just the distance to the velodrome. My partner says he would have liked some outdoor games or activities to be available e.g., biking. And also, not sure if there was an outdoor light for the deck or if I just missed it. Would have been helpful for getting stuff from the car at night.
