Lighting is dark, out of gas during cooking is but frustrating. bumper bed is not safe for kids as it’s not against wall

Didn’t know host was staying there with us had the husband acting like a hard guy came into property while we were there we arrived at 1030 pm from Australia and he complained about my autistic son walking to heavily mad me so angry and my family feel in safe would not recommend this place for anyone with children have travelled the world and never felt the way we did after his encounter have our own bnb and would never have done what the owners did would have left at that very moment if it wasn’t so late would never book here again haven’t been back to nz for 20 years and very disappointed in the host was acting very hard till he seen my husband not happy and do not recommend

As we needed to be in Taupo for the duration of the last day, it would have been nice if we could have negotiated a late checkout but this wasn't available to us, we had to pay a full days rental. Not great service.

Good location , quick walk to the lake

Coffee and tea that was supplied looked old and stale

Comfy spacious fitted our needs superbly

Great location, very clean, comfortable house, very large bedrooms upstairs, spacious lounge, dining, kitchen areas. Fenced section, so was great for the dog.
