It was a quiet location. The weather was beautiful. Lovely peaceful retreat.

I'm not sure I would have like the outside toilet if it had been raining.

A firm favourite and our go to place in Riverton. Cosy, comfy and well stocked. Love the outdoor bath

Nothing to dislike

Such a delightful base to explore the Southland area. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with a little adventure as well, owing to the outdoor facilities. It was fairly rainy and windy on our first night and we were worried about the outdoor loo, but it’s an incredibly well designed space, so no issues there. Riverton is a lovely town, so I’m glad we got to explore it. I would totally recommend the Riverton Beach House Restaurant, just a short drive across the bridge for dinner. There are tonnes of things to entertain yourself with as well - games, DVDs and more.

The only challenge for us was a change in the way the hot water system worked, meaning we were without hot water for most of the first day. My partner gets a little grumpy if he can’t have a shower! We received updated instructions in the afternoon and then had one of the best showers of the whole trip!

Warm. Tidy and equipped with everything we needed for a weekend away together.

Nothing. The toilet is outside which is cold in the winter and a bit slippery on the deck-but all a part of the charm and gumboots are provided.

Fantastic little cottage, cosy and warm, nice outside areas and gardens, well equipped.

It was perfect. Loved the outside bath, even though it was sleeting!
