Exclusive private Riad

Llegar al lugar es todo un desafio. Representa un problema que la direccion solo deja claro que queda dentro de la medina, por tanto, no es fácil ubicarlo una vez dentro de ella. Por la noche para llegar se hace un poco compliado con tantas motos y personas. Un día un vecino me tiro agua desde su balcon y me mojo toda.

Nice and spacious, enough bathrooms and in the heart of Marrakech

The location of the riad is perfect if you want to experiece the real Medina life.

We were a group of 6 adults so we could all have a bedroom. It is very central to the real Marrakesh which means it is not touristy but in the heart of all the hustle and bustle. The WI Fi was good.

This is not a complaint but I think other people should know. The property is not modern and although clean it is a bit dusty. Cars do not pass by so any transport is left at least 5 minutes away and other attractions are probably at least a 20 minute walk through very busy streets with a lot of scooters. Google maps was a necessity so mobile data is essential.

The Riad was in a nice location but the Riad was unsafe.

Warning this place is a safety and security risk. We would not have booked it if we had known that there was a man called Smail that lives on the rooftop with access to the entire riad. He uses the same entrance stairs, bathroom and longeroom. He comes and goes and brings people in and out of the riad as he pleases. He wasn't even sneaky about bringing women up to his room for an hour or so.. This Riad and arrangement is uncommon in Morocco. This man is not a caretaker or a manager., he was more like the flatmate from hell. He didn't do anything other than give us a key, and a cursory look around. His only instruction was that we should keep shoes on indoors because the floors were dirty. The place was generally filthy and uncared for. - he was intimidating and unhygienic. The man parks his bicycle in the lounge room and walks into your space unannounced numerous times a day. We had to be completely covered the whole time because we never knew when he'd walk through. This is not acceptable in any culture.. One morning, I caught him going through our luggage. We could tell he'd been in our rooms while we were out. When I saw him go into my room i asked him to leave, he just laughed, stayed where he was and did his best to intimidate. You can't lock the rooftop door to the Raid because the man needs to come and go at all times of the day and night. This is another security risk because the rooftop ajoins surrounding riad rooftops - so anyone could come through the unlocked door. We wanted to use the rooftop to enjoy the views and the top bathroom but they are unofficially for the Exclusive use of the man 'Smail'. He glared at us and made us feel very uncomfortable if we went to the rooftop. This raid scores a low rating but it should be even lower. I wouldnt have booked this Riad if Id read the recent unfavorable reviews raising similar concerns.

Nice and clean. Traditional and picturesque riad

Smail the manager of the riad is nice and friendly. He greeted us when we arrived. We found out later that he was also staying in a room in the terrace. This information was not shared with us beforehand. We had no problem with him, but we were scared for a moment when we ran into him at 10 pm, when we were going to smoke in the terrace. This should be shared with guests to avoid unpleasant surprises. Everything else was good. Positive point: They let us store out luggage because we arrived early in the morning.

Excellent host Smail found us great activities and full of information about the city. Great house plenty of room and quiet at nights too.

Picture looks nicer than reality

Location- no access for car, van. Need to walk 8 minutes with lugages. It is not too bad but there are lots of animal’s feces along the way. Dusty and musty linen even towels Rusted cutlery-so we didn't cook, only boil water using the boiler as it was disgusting. No soap/shampoo provided. No privacy - as the upper level got the one who helps to manage the house. Water from air-conditioner need to manually removed from the pail, which is ridiculous. Not all rooms got a/c
