Sari Village Jungle Retreat

Sorry for the delayed review. Always wanted to find some time to write but got carried away with work. First off, we had never imagined being able to stay in such a paradise apart from experiencing such warm and kind hospitality from the host. The unit was really cozy and clean with such an amazing window view where we got to watch the beautiful dusky leaf monkeys, hornbills, etc. The host was very informative and kind. Uncle always took his time to entertain us by showing us around and even brought us to his art gallery. He even left some delicious rambutans for us to enjoy and offered to upgrade our room for free to experience a different scenery during our last nights which we had to politely decline as we were so occupied that day and had no time to shift units 😂😂😂 House keeping was done almost everyday and the housekeeper was a nice man too. We had a good chat at one point. I would definitely come back again. Thank you so much for everything. Hope to see you again. We are already missing this place, especially the view!!! A must stay place if you'd enjoy a very quiet, private, and serene jungle retreat!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just a suggestion to provide hand wash in the unit as we had some difficulty without it. Also, for night owls like us, we'd normally rise a little late, so housekeeping can be done when we are out. There was once I freaked out as someone kept knocking on the door when I was still in my night wear half asleep in the hall, and the curtains were not fully closed at that time as we didn't expect a visitor. I was rather embarrassed and had to wait till they left to get changed. Also, a bigger trash bag would be great as there was a day where housekeeping was not done, and there was no place in the bin to throw our trash and we had to wait until the next day.

Lovely accommodation- one of the best views we have ever seen. Very friendly and helpful host.

Super plek weg van de drukte op een heuvel in Langkawi. Prachtig uitzicht en je waant je in een soort jungle omgeving in een groot appartement/huis. De sfeer ademt authentiek. Als je houdt van luxe en modern en drukte dan is dit niet de plek. Zainol is een zeer aardige attente gastheer/ eigenaar. We zijn met hem mee geweest op de privé boottour. Het was een unieke ervaring. Hij neemt je mee op plekjes waar je geen toeristen zult zien. Het ontbijt en de lunch zijn tijdens de toer ook heerlijk! Wij hebben iedere ochtend zo genoten van het ontbijt. Wat een feest. We komen snel terug!

The property itself is located in an exceptionally picturesque location. The view from any room is extremely beautiful. It truly is a jungle getaway, since you are surrounded by nature and greeted every morning with the pretty sight of green islands popping out of the beautiful blue sea, as well as the sounds of chirping birds such as the Hornbill and the occasional surprise of other spectacular animals. The host, Mr. Zainol is extremely passionate about what he does and treats his guests like family. He gave us a personal tour of the surrounding area in his car and also offered a helping hand to ensure our experience in Langkawi was as amazing as possible. His island hopping tour was fantastic, as he took us to deserted islands and beaches, away from the hoardes of tourists, that the regular tour operators would take you to. The island hopping tour with Mr. Zainol is a must do. Mr. Zainol also kindly dropped us to the airport, when we were unable to get a taxi early in the morning.

The room that we stayed in was a bit old fashioned but the room above was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately it was already occupied when we checked in.

风景非常漂亮，起来就看见窗外的大海，树林，也许还有小猴子，小松鼠来打招呼，如果喜欢亲近大自然倒是不错的选择。很适合一家人住一栋，三层楼有很多个房间，非常宽敞。

位置确实有一点偏僻，如果上山的路装更多路灯就好了。有的Grab司机不愿意上山，但是大部分没有问题。卫生间设施有一点旧。

Noon, our host was so nice! He took time to explain us about his jungle resort which is so beautiful, and the animals that live in (leaf monkeys, varans, hornbills bird, ...). He has given us excellent recommendations for the visits (seven wells - dinner on Catamaran - beaches, etc) and restaurants . for example he has checked if the skybridge was open on that day and it wasn't because of maintenance. we could have lost a few hours without him. He drove us several time to Cenang. We have received a delicious breakfast in our house. He really took care of us and I truly thank him for that.

- the owner is friendly, cares and is v helpful - the views are lovely across the bay - the monkeys on the trees nearby and nature around - bed in main room was comfy - daily water bottles - clean pool

We didn’t find the property suited our family set up (young children) and agree with previous reviews on the need for renovation. - doors and windows fasten with 1 latch, no safety bolt/back up lock at top. One sliding door was broken to a balcony so it wouldn’t lock (fixed when raised). The drops from these were significant and we felt uncomfortable when children were in different rooms to us. There are only 2 bedrooms upstairs. There is a floor under the house with internal blocked off stairs down to it - there were large gaps children could have lent over/climbed up/dropped toys over - we found the the water system hard to use with scalding water sometimes - the kitchen area did not have any bowls for cereal (plates only) - WiFi non existent / very weak - mosquito plug ins led to daily dead things found by kids (lots of huge moths and one day, a bat). - Grabs v hard to get up the steep hill, esp at night - walked down the hill most days which was a hassle - pool area was tired with the plastic steps into the pool broken and some sharp tiles
