It has a really warm family feeling and our whanau Love the indoor outdoor flow. Views of Ōpunakē lake, picturesque. Absolutely love and enjoyed the walking loop. Only regret is not booking a longer stay. This is my first family road trip with all my kids and they love the place, memories to treasure. Thank you so much for having a beautiful clean place when we arrived and thank you for letting us stay.

Having to leave tomorrow? No. I don’t have any complaints.

Good location overlooking a lake. Small town so very central to everything.

TV was a bit of a problem a couple of times, but not a major.

Good location

kitchen area could have been more clean as had spider webs with flies on roof all over. All it needed was good vacuum to remove all webs.

Barbwire is an example of a typical NZ beach bach relaxed plenty of space lovely comfortable beds very helpful friendly owner. Amazing view of the lake.

The address on booking.com is wrong. The front door entrance steps were challenging for an older person.

"Old quaint & quirky wee place, great for family with kids close to town, beach & walks"

Amazing location overlooking the lake & kids absolutely loved the boxing ring & gym and I spent hours in there getting beaten by the kids. Super comfy beds and all amenities are supplied so didn't need to bring a thing.
