Spacious apartment and nice pool area.

We had cockroaches every night, even though they offered an extra cleaning they kept coming back.

The location is great! We could walk to the main commercial area of the beach and it was an easy uber to all parts of the Town, including Punta. The grounds are very pretty and you do feel like you are in a secluded and lush area of this great little beach town.

The air conditioning and electricity went out in the middle of our second night. It was extremely hot and we were unable to stay any longer, despite trying to be patient waiting for it to all come back on. The property manager was somewhat empathetic, but we have yet to receive a partial refund for our stay. The place it dark inside, yet no window coverings, so we felt a little too visible. We asked for additional towels and were told one per guest for our entire 3 night stay (which turned out to be only 2 nights). No hot water in the shower. One small bar of soap. The kitchen facilities were lacking and I would not have wanted to cook there. Overall, fairly poor customer service. They did not even offer to bring us candles or a flashlight as we went into the evening with no electricity, which is why we ultimately had to leave and find another place.

Location was a short walk to the beach, shops, market and cafes. The balcony was awesome with a hammock and we sat outside most evenings after dinner, and in the morning with our coffee. A swim up bar in to the pool offered snack and drinks for a bargain!

Not enough hooks, racks to hang towels or bathing suits - it looked like there were towel racks at one point, but they came out of the wall. We did hang wet towels on the doors and outside on the balcony.

I collected the keys by texting one of the hosts--they had provided a number via the booking.com messages prior to our arrival. Texting, cell service, and mobile internet is spotty at best in the area, so some of our messages were delayed but it worked out well and the host was pleasant and helpful. The staff of the hotel where this unit is located made sure we had towels, toilet paper, and other housekeeping services. The apartment was private, having it's own patio with table, kitchen, and living room. The bedroom had a very strong A/C unit that kept it comfortable at night. We watched some cable television, cooked meals, went to the pool, and got to walk to restaurants and shops only a few blocks away. A very short walk to the ocean and nice courtyard are accessible to the apartment.

No A/C in the living room--but it wasn't a problem during our stay as we opened the patio door for a breeze.

The bed was very comfortable. The view was great. The apartment was spacious. Every thing was reasonably clean and it was cleaned thoroughly twice during our one week stay. The pool was small but quite pleasant. There was a new café where you could get simple meals and drinks for a reasonable price. There was an on-site washing machine free to use.

There was no potable water when we arrived on Sunday and none until late Tuesday afternoon. We were given, without consultation, a different apartment than we booked and, while it was larger, it was a little shabby and had poor lighting especially in the bathroom. Moreover, it was high up with lots of stairs which at 70 with bad knees was difficult for both of us. There was no one to assist with luggage. Deficiencies were generally addressed though not always quickly and some staff seemed to resent being asked (though others were quite pleasant and helpful. )
