Whanga Bridge House

Located in the Whangamomona village and very central. The house is comfortable, clean and welcoming. I had the whole house to myself however there are 3 bedrooms and it is plenty big enough for a group. Great out door decking area out side as well. I highly recommend the Whanga Bridge House to anyone.

Spacious house even with 6 adults. Great country feel.

Hot water tap in bathroom operates opposite to the standard. Freezer had not been cleaned, beer bottle had exploded leaving a mess.

Felt like home

Very comfortable. A generous supply of breakfast food etc was provided. Thanks for that. Very convenient, in the middle of the village.

Having to go out the back-door to toilet and bathroom, fortunately not too cold.

Lots of hot water. Quiet country location.

A couple of days before arrival we had a request from the property asking for an arrival time. When we replied with a time we were told the property could approve "our request". How does that work? About 30 minutes before arriving we telephoned the hosts as requested in an email to get instructions for the key. We got an answerphone and left a message. No call back. On arrival we called again. Same result. We only found a way in by asking at the hotel opposite who said the back door was open. We texted the owner to say we had arrived and gained entry. Again no reply. Before leaving to go out for a meal, we texted asking yet again where could we find the key. Again no reply. Next morning on leaving we actually found some keys although what they were for is anyone's guess. It's not supposed to be hide-and-seek. Such lack of response is extremely bad manners in whatever country one happens to live or travel in. Having to go outside to the bathroom. The bathroom was grubby. Sash windows didn't work or lock; we had to put a fire log under the frame to prop the window open (up).

Great location, cosy house with the best fireplace.

Great location for the middle of know where👌 clean and tidy, no traffic, very relaxing.The fire place was brilliant. Great big deck and secured area + under cover for the motor bikes.

The loose taps very off putting.

Location was perfect. When we arrived the owner had lit the fire, the house was lovely and cosy. 😊😊 We walked to the pub nearby for drinks and a bite to eat. Very quiet village. In the morning while sitting outside having a coffee the locals called out “good morning” while walking by. The owner had some black sheep in a paddock behind the house which was a bonus.
