Dunedin Retreat Cabin

The location was excellent, easy to get in and out of town. The cabin had a nice layout, and was very warm and cozy. Communication from the hosts was clear, easy to follow and timely. Nice place to stay.

Lockbox was a little difficult to open - a bit sticky (wouldn't open easily when pin was correct)

Advertised as Luxury, definitely not. Not as clean as we would expect. Fridge shelves not clean, and bathroom not as clean as could be, especially corners floor in bathroom /toilet, and toilet seat cover. Smoke alarm was not in place, we rectified this after conversation with owner, who suggested where it may have been moved to. Difficulty for 2 to watch TV from lounge area, fabric on one seat ripped.

Cabin was well designed, well equipped and comfortable. Owners were very helpful and kept the Cabin very neat. Beds and pillows were super comfy. Great hospitality experience.

The breakfast was excellent, I brought my own. The location was fine.

The cleaning of the shower particularly was hopeless with pubic and other body hairs obvious on the walls and even on the outside of the cubicle (see my holiday snaps) and the chrome waste bin beside the toilet appears to have never been wiped clean, yuk!

This was more an Airbnb setting, very close to house not at all secluded
