Wayfarers Lodge

The location is very quiet, cozy, and relaxing. It is conveniently located near the beautiful Lake Tekapo, which was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed stargazing at night at Wayfarer so do the Lake Tekapo and were so impressed by the scenery that we visited the church again the following morning. The property was easy to find using Google Maps or Waze. Other than that, the check-in process was smooth, and our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We would happily recommend this place to others visiting the area.

However, locating the key box was a bit challenging, as we were not aware that there was another studio nearby, which led us to initially go to the wrong location. As a result, it took us about 10 minutes to find and retrieve the key.

我们提早到了，遇到一个帅哥（不清楚是房东还是清洁人员）告诉我们再等一会就收拾好了。结果就是我们提前入住了。房间非常大，设备很齐全，住了两天，很方便。开车三分钟到湖边。

客厅的灯太昏暗，晚上吃饭时有一点点不方便。床垫太软，我们腰多少有点问题，睡起来不太舒服。

房子有湖景且入住方便，厨房设施便利，还遇到了附近其他住户非常粘人的小猫

房间隔音比较差，有些房间较小，在旅游旺季性价比不高

The cabin was very well made n designed. It was cosy and comfortable. The bedrooms were good,the living are was very good. The house has very good ventilation. The kitchen is well equipped. We get the view of the Lake tekapo from the Patio outside..n it looks amazing.. There is lots of space on the patio to enjoy the views with your family and a cup of tea / coffee.. Its very peaceful. The house is 5 mins drive from the Lake & the Centre..where all the eateries and shops are located.

The house can get very hot and stuffy on a hot day. They have AirConditioning only in the living area. The rooms dont even have a fan. We could'nt sleep well the first night. But as per the Host's suggestion we kept the windows open and the weather cooled down at night which cooled the whole house down quite well. Still, this can be an issue. The room with bunk beds was too cramped. Some lights were not working..which is an easy fix.

Great location with beautiful view Very spacious, enough to accomadate 3 families The setup is excellent. the fireplace, Bluetooth speaker, dimmable lights, corridor step lights, all add up to the cozy atmosphere. The owner clearly has great taste and attention to detail.

The bathroom tap is quite tight and may need fixing. A lighter would be helpful for lighting the fireplace. Will definitely book again if we return to tekapo

I was a bit confused on where the lockbox was to get the keys, but other than that it was great!

La maison est très grande, un peu trop pour nous. Néanmoins, nous avons apprécié cet espace. Très propre, très confortable. Belle vue partielle sur le lac, au calme. Nous avons apprécié la petite attention à notre arrivée (chocolats et bouteilles de vin).

La maison offre des atouts indéniables (espace, équipements, emplacement) mais le prix de la nuitée est exhorbitant. Il manque le petit service en plus pour justifier cela.
