Family Fun - 4BR home with swimming pool and spa

Location was okay

We had to phone for door code how to heat up spa and anything else we needed fixed.

The amount of space for everyone. The pool was great.

The sink was blocked and had to buy a plunger.

Liked that it was a huge house with lots of space

We were notified one day before arrival that the spa pool was out of order, which was one of the main reasons we booked this place. We were told it wouldn’t be fixed until the day we checked out and were advised to “enjoy the heated pool” instead. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, so we had planned to spend most of our time using the indoor pool. When we arrived, the pool area was dirty, with flat pool inflatables left in the corner. We had to sweep the area ourselves. The pool contained insects, leaves, and flower petals from the indoor plants, which we had to remove with the net. The water was cloudy and cold, and we even found a mug at the bottom of the pool. The house itself was also not well maintained, dusty surfaces, spiders on the ceiling, lawns not mowed, and weeds and dead leaves around the property. We had brought meat to use the BBQ, but it was not clean. It’s a pity, because the place has potential and could be really nice if properly maintained. We booked this stay to relax, but the lack of cleanliness and upkeep made it disappointing. We contacted the hosts to request a partial refund and raised our concerns about the pool but never received a response. The only communication we received after that was instructions on how to leave the property after checkout, which left us feeling ignored.

Pool was great, was loads of fun for everyone. The place was huge and had ample space for two families of four to spread out and find something for everyone. It is certainly a rare find. Also very handy as it’s just a short few minutes walk to the shops.

We had some difficulty getting in touch with the property management team initially but once we did speak with them they were very reasonable and accommodating and resolved the issues we had.

The amount of space in the house was great. The pool was a great asset as the weather wasn’t great so was well used during our stay.

When we arrived the pool hadn’t been serviced and had a lot of hair floating around in it. It was quite a tired property and needs some maintenance. One of the windows in the main bedroom doesn’t shut, there were a lot of spiders in the property.
