Motel 6-Goodland, KS

Full timers upstairs partied into the night. Duct tape for a light switch cover. A pad lock instead of a door key! Floor felt dirty. The door had a gap because of no working doorknob. Water didn’t get hot enough for a shower. Water running from hotel across parking lot seemed to be waste water.

The property is mostly used by workers in the area or long-term usage. Some garbage, grill, equipment, etc., outside of some doors. A person with multiple dogs stayed in the room before us and the poor old made tried to clean it up, but there was still a lot of dog here. The room had lots of flies which she had sprayed and it reminded me of the milk house barn when I was a child. The check-in took a very long time with some communication problems. The good thing was no dog fee!

The person working check in was such a good person.

Good price. Average facility. No frills, but none expected. One pillow was uncomfortable.

I liked that the room looked like it was upgraded. The bed was ok. A little hard, but somewhat soft.

The door to the room was hard to get opened. I had to try my key card and turn the handle several times to get it to even open. The door bolt in the door was hard to open as well. I had to turn it and push against it several times to even open. I decided to prop the door open with a trash can to move my stuff into the car since the door was hard to open. This motel needs to improve their room doors so that they are not so hard to open. There were several flies in my room buzzing around. There was opened soap in the shower that looked like it had been used. There was a towel that hung down on the towel shelf area. I wasn't sure if it was used or not. Motel staff needs to make sure to throw away/ make sure things are cleaned and ready for the next guest.

The room was clean however our door only locked with a padlock. Sketchy place, full of undesirables. Definitely lock your car
