Motel 6-Goodland, KS

Traveler beware. Booked this as an inexpensive overnight option while traveling, because they are pet friendly. The first room smelled so much like cat urine that I couldn’t fully walk into the room. Our second room smelled better, but the flies were thick (INSIDE the toilet bowl and then everywhere else in the room. The ick factor was strong). While I appreciate pet-friendly hotels, I’m not sure how well this one is cleaned. I woke up with swollen eyes and hives, which is usually my reaction when around a lot of cats. Additionally, online the room selections include “kitchenette”, which we booked. When we got there, the front office staff said they don’t even have kitchenettes. We travel through here often. While I’m normally ok with a Motel 6 and find them clean and managed well, we will avoid this hotel in the future.

Pets stay free.

The beds were comfortable. It was cheap. I only stayed for about 8 hours. It had a kitchen area with a microwave and small fridge.

My room had an open padlock on the door. I arrived late at night. My room was all the way in the back corner and on the second floor. I had to padlock myself in the room. It was the only way it would lock. I'm glad there wasn't a fire. If I hadn't of had my dog with me, I never would have stayed. The floor was dirty. They crammed 2 full beds into a tiny room. It took 10 minutes for the water to heat up and the kitchen area sink did not have any hot water after letting it run for about 15 minutes.

Needed a handicap room as booked. It was not available. She had to check on a another room That room was dirty. Surrounding area in parking lot safe.

hot water in shower worked only 1 time and took about 10 minutes to get hot. Second time just cold water. Very old conditions, bed was very old.

I stay at Motel 6 a lot when I drive cross country. I arrive in Goodland and there are 3 police cars there searching a room. I am told I cannot have a first floor room - I am handicapped and unable to carry my oxygen tank up the stairs - no elevator. Was told the tv was broke and hope that was ok. Lots of transients outside smoking and hanging ou. Did not feel safe.

No room available for check-in, went to a different hotel to stay instead

Nothing good to say. Do not recommend.

The room was filthy, no cold running water, leaks in bathroom and in a general state of disrepair.
