The location was amazing, so close to the beach. The property is well maintained.

Bed was squeaky.

The cottage was directly across from Hot Water Beach. Fabulous location. Nice and clean. You can dig a hole about 2pm and sit in the hot water. 10 minute drive to Hahei and then 30 min walk to Cathedral Cove.

Unbeatable location - literally on the same road as the beach. You can see the beach from every room! Such a bonus to have parking too, and the spade for the beach!

This cottage reminded me of my family bach that I used to visit when I was a kid. It was comfy, and had those types of quirks you associate with a beach bach. Just a quick walk over the road to the beach where we enjoyed digging our own hot pool. The supplied spade at the back of the house was a nice touch. Very clean and comfy, with all the utensils and cooking facilities that made our visit such a treat. I would visit again for sure.

We could only fault 3 things. 1. The bed base has these protruding wings on the base board. Both my wife and I now sport bruises on our shins where we hit these wings. We got around it by stuffing a pillow under the mattress on both bottom corners. 2. The toilet is a narrow when the door is open, and to close the door you need to straddle the toilet bowl to be able to close the door. 3. The shower is a water saving device (because the house is on tank water), but the flow was so weak that I had to spend 3 times as long in the shower to get wet, then rinsed off. An outdoor shower would be a bonus to get rid of the beach sand before going into the house.

We absolutely loved the location, sitting on the deck looking at the beach was magical. They had left a spade for digging, very thoughtful.

The bed was uncomfortable, one pillow was missing a pillow case. The peg basket had rubbish in it, including toenail clippings. The clothes airer needs replacing.

The building was in substandard condition. Many appliances dirty and in disrepair.

Great location right on the beach at Hot Water Beach. Easy to walk across to the beach and home again. Grest place for an escape for a weekend.

This is a Kiwi batch so don't expect luxury accommodation. It's a cute bach. The water pressure is low so wash your hair before you go.

A few more towels or somewhere to dry the 'one' we had would have been lovely.
