Hahei Beach Escape

The location couldn't be beat. It was a quick and easy walk to everything in town, including The Pour House which was a great spot for lunch/dinner/just grabbing a drink. Bill and Pam were amazing hosts. The house had everything we could have needed and more. It was one of our favorite locations on our trip!

The location, the hosts, the size of the property

Loved the talks with the host - it felt like home. Big house with a great atmosphere and location 5 minutes from the shops and the beautiful beach.

The place needed new beds and an update to the kitchen and bathroom.

Location is excellent. Unit is very clean and tidy. Owner was helpful in terms of providing information about Hahei - where to eat (or not to eat) and what to do around the area.

There is lack of privacy at this accommodation. The outside area - which has a large table and multiple chairs, sits directly in front of the owners living area. Owner did come out to the deck often to have a chat.

The location is great.

Whilst the condition and comfortability of this property was good, the picture painted was I feel different to reality. I, personally, wouldn’t stay here again as it is too entwined with the residents. And whilst they are absolutely lovely people and hosts, nothing against them, you are literally separated from their house by an internal door. When you leave the unit, which is attached to the house as though it was once a second living area, you walk onto the deck, into their backyard, past their large glass doors adjoining their living and kitchen area. When you are waking up in the morning, having a coffee in your little pjs, they can see right into your living area and may come say hello. I think this situation could be made clearer in the property description. For example, it’s states you are renting a holiday home when actually you are renting part of a home with your own living areas, attached to the main house.

We didn't ask for breakfast. Very friendly hosts and very informative about all the sight seeing places in the area.

There were no issues and nothing to complain about.

We absolutely loved the location. It Is easy to walk to things in Hahei, very close to Hot Water Beach, and easy access to Cathedral Cove (once it is reopened!). The hosts were very kind and even loaned us a shovel for Hot Water Beach.

The pots and pans were very warped and the wifi was very spotty around the house.
