Great location, neat and tidy little place with lots of amenities and nice touches. Beds were super comfy. Owners were very friendly and nice to chat to.

Two minor things which we thought could be improved. Privacy - whilst the owners were nice, sharing the deck and them being able to see into the unit was a bit offputting. A little privacy screen would help. Aged utensils and crockery. A lot of the utensils are old and need replacing. And a cheap but matching cutlery set doesn’t give the sense that the place was furnished from the op shop.

Hahei Beach Escape is definitely the only choice for our next trip to Hahei Beach! We were fortunate to have met Bill and Pam, who were such friendly hosts willing to share and help travelers. Despite the Cathedral Cove being closed due to the storm, Bill suggested that we take a rubber dinghy during high tide to get a close look at the volcanic rock bay and cave. We also appreciated Pam's sharing of fresh oranges and lemons from the yard. Look forward to being able to pick fresh avocados and other fruits in the not-too-distant future. More importantly, with Bill's continued encouragement, we finally enjoyed Hot Water from Hot Water Beach

can't think of anyone who wouldn't like Hahei Beach Escape

Location of retro style accomodation.

The bed mattresses were retro. But the bed sheets and coverings new.

"the beauty of Hahei made up for everything such a beautiful place and beach"

location was great owners were very fried and accommodating

the stay was an annex on the back of the advertising property. the owners live in front house and you’re in the back on an adjoining annex. it was fine for couple nights stay but for any longer I would’ve felt uncomfortable as it was shared garden etc there was nowhere private to relax or sunbathing in garden otherwise a lovely stay
