Everything was just perfect

Nestled in the serene village of Santo António, Maria's Haven truly lives up to its name as a sanctuary for weary travelers. Having read the glowing reviews, we arrived with high expectations, and we were not disappointed. The two-level accommodation provided ample space for our group, ensuring everyone's comfort and privacy. The well-maintained garden with a place for Bonfire and BBQ stocked with firewood and other necessities offered a perfect retreat where you could unwind after a day of exploration. Maria herself was the epitome of hospitality, extending a warm welcome and ensuring that our every need was met. Our overall experience at Maria's Haven was nothing short of exceptional :)

I recommend Maria's excellent accommodation! There were ten of us, and we comfortably fit into the 6 rooms. The apartment is fully equipped and clean. Upon our arrival, some local delicacies awaited us on the table. The garden was filled with banana trees bearing fruit. The area is quiet and peaceful. Maria is an attentive host. Thank you!

Due to the high humidity, clothes dry slowly, so a dryer would be useful. I believe it would also be more economical, as there would be no need to use the air conditioning and dehumidifier simultaneously for extended periods.

The house features a pleasant exterior with a well-maintained garden. The outdoor space is adequately furnished with essential amenities, including a swing and hammock, and a designated area for a hearth and grill stocked with firewood and ignition materials. Inside, the house offers all the necessary facilities, featuring two comfortable bedrooms suitable for two adults and two children. The balcony provides a decent view, and even in winter, it receives ample sunlight. Conveniently located nearby, there is a grocery store and an authentic local snack bar. Additional shopping and dining options are accessible with a short 5-minute drive. Our overall vacation experience was amazing, thanks in part to the responsive landlord. A dedicated parking space, although requiring a 30-degree angle for parking, may be second nature for locals but feels unconventional for those accustomed to flat terrain. Whether you prefer a private space for grilling, enjoying nature, and sipping wine or plan to explore the island's attractions, this residence serves as a reasonable choice. Positioned centrally, it provides equidistant access to various destinations, making it a strategic base for island exploration.

Very well stocked, all supplies needed for cooking for a family. Beautiful view, especially at sunrise. Maria was incredibly helpful and graciously allowed us to extend our stay when we were in a bind.

A little humid and cold. Would recommend changing lightbulbs to something a bit warmer, light is very bright and white, feels like an office.

The house was very clean and beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful and garden simply stunning.
