Tranquility, location. Vistas amazing. Warm/cozy. Hosts attention to detail. Very well-appointed cottage. Great host provided local information, also included at the cottage - reading material about the sights and activities locally. I would recommend the cottage stay to others, and we would return as well.

"Absolutely Wonderful!"

The view was absolutely breathtaking. Jean is a fantastic host! We were arriving later than expected and she went in and turned on the heat and the lights to ensure it was comfortable when we arrived. Jean also came down to meet us the following day to ensure we got there safely and that we had everything we needed. Absolutely stunning property, incredibly clean and tidy, homely, friendly animals, beautify maintained, 10/10.

Nothing. Jean and Rocky Ridge Cottage completely exceeded our expectations. As mentioned above.

Fabulous location and excellent facilities with everything we needed and more

Bedrooms were a bit cold - maybe a small panel heater would prevent condensation on the windows, but it was really not a problem.

"Gorgeous getaway."

Location up in the hills behind Takaka was perfect for what we wanted - days out and relaxing evenings with home cooked food. Kitchen was brilliantly equipped. The extension/sun room added space to the living area to enjoy the view and had the added protection from wind provided by the clear roller blinds on 3 sides. We enjoyed the outdoor bath and BBQ as well.

Very little hanging space - 1 room only had 2 hooks behind the door and the other had a small closet with ironing board etc in it. For 5 nights we found this a little frustrating.

Beautiful quiet location with good views and local bird life. Pin neat and very clean cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Outdoor seating areas and outdoor bath was a treat.

No cupboard or hanging space in the main bedroom.

Everything. Beautiful views in every direction. Peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable beds and very well equipped - had everything we needed. Comfy and homely. Jean made us feel very welcome at the Cottage. Children loved visiting sheep (and Mabel the goat) in the paddock. Located centrally to attractions and easy 10 mins to main town.
