There was everything necessary for a stay. The location is close to the centre and the airport. The apartment it self is much bigger in person than it’s seen in the photos. It was very nice and enjoyable!

There were ants in the apartment. It’s warm weather, so they would tend to show up, but maybe something could be improved on that.

There is a nice view from the balcony. Hosts helped to arrange taxi to go to the airport.

The hosts forgot to send me the code for lockbox so I had to call in order to get the pin. Luckily they picked up the phone quickly. Upon entering there was a cockroach roaming around. We hoped this would be a one time problem, however more cockroaches kept showing up inside the apartment throughout our stay. The apartment was not properly cleaned from previous guests, especially the kitchen, where fingerprints and crumbs were found on the counter and cupboards. The apartment was quite central, however, the hill back up is very steep. There was no AC and the rooms were very hot, especially since we couldn't open the windows due to the cockroaches outside.

Not place to park the car

Fantastic views over the city and sea, and a joy to watch the sunrise from the balcony. Convenient for city centre. A street of restaurants ten minutes walk away (it's steep!) and a corner shop and Museu das Cruzes (nice gardens and good cafe/bistro open daytime ) within 2 minutes.

It's a shame the lovely long balcony has the array of little recycling bins at the kitchen end (maybe they could be enclosed or screened, as is the washing machine). The cushions on the two comfortable chairs have seen better days!

The location was great, we loved the view! It was very comfortable with everything we needed. Any questions were answered immediately, and the staff were all very helpful.

A bit more local information would have been nice, maybe some recommendations of places to see or a good map .
