Designer Cabin - Lake Tekapo

Super comfy warm, small cabin like accomodation for two people. Short walk into the village, and a few steps to beautiful lake Tekapo. Loved everything about it.

Bath was only big enough for one and round the back of the house. We didn't use it.

The lady at the reception was nice and polite, and advised us to directly book with them next time as they can offer better discount.

I received a message from booking.com that they will charge my credit card about 10 days before I arrive. But when I actually arrive to pick up my key, the lady at the reception told me that I need to directly pay to them upon checking in. This is confusing. I was really reluctant to pay at the time as I had no idea whether or not booking.com has charged my credit card. This caused unnecessary frustration. Booking.com should sort out their message / automatic message to their customers around payment.

The location is superb and just minutes walk from the famous Chapel. The cabin is well equipped and suitable for short to medium stay. The design is great and we enjoyed our stay totally.

Gorgeous small home with all the facilities and amenities you'll need. Check in was a breeze and communication was responsive.

Access to the home through the front door. Would prefer key access via the side door as it led straight to the car.

Just a comment about the bed, it was very comfy, but as it had an electric blanket(which was not used), a mattress topper and mattress protector it made the bed very warm for summer and uncomfortable to sleep.
