Designer Cabin - Lake Tekapo

Location was great and everything available at the property made our stay easy and comfortable.

The oven needs a bit better instructions - a bit complicated for my brain.

Good functionality good location. The only thing is that the outdoor bath is not as clean as that in the picture and thus we did not use that.

Great location, good set up and easy to relax in.

The property is conveniently located right around the corner of the lake. A short early morning or evening walk is really wonderful from here. You’re slightly away from downtown and can see the stars well. One night, I put effort into getting the bathtub going outside - I was able to see really big shooting star from the comfort of the tub, for which the owners also left a basket of bath salts and bubbles. Parking is right next to the property and very easy. There is no staff on site and you drop the keys at an office downtown. We had mixed up the checkout times but they were friendly enough not to make an issue.

The barbecue was a bit dirty and worn off so we did not use that one, and only cooked inside. Checkout is a bit early.

The property was amazing. It was much more spacious than we anticipated. The apartment is literally on the lake next to the church of the good shepherd. There were detailed instructions for everything which made life easy. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
