Designer Cabin - Lake Tekapo

Location in a Dark Sky Reserve and only a walk up the drive and across a road to the lake. The property had a contemporary feel. Dedicated parking space alongside the cabin, Hot/cold air conditioning worked well (heat pump).

There was no mountain view as advertised and I was disappointed with the size and view of the "garden". There were a few shrubs outside the fence area facing the driveway and a small triangular garden outside the kitchen window. The duvet needed a dry clean, but I brought this to the attention of the receptionist. There was no space for a wardrobe. The cabin is very small, but ideal for a couple's weekend break. Not as private as expected, shared driveway to three other properties close by and overlooked at the back and side.

Location was perfect, enjoyed the walks into town and the lake view was amazing.

Was busier than we expected (a lot of tourists) and couldn't get into any restaurants for dinner.

loved everything!! location, design, decor and the little unexpected extras made it perfect! the outdoor bath was fantastic!

The outside bath and lying under the stars it was my favourite and there was a box of bath goodies filled with bath soaks and bubbles ! It was such a thoughtful touch. Such a lovely experience the cabin is kitted out with everything you need for a restful getaway, it’s perfectly situated about 5 mins away from the Good Shepards Church !

Everything! Beautiful accommodation, peaceful and private location, fully equipped and thoughtful modern furnishings. I especially loved the super comfy bed and recliner chairs. Wifi is reliable, access to Netflix. Easy and convenient access to the scenic lakeside and town centre is a short walk away. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and informative.

The cabin is stylish and comfy in a great location. The cabin suits the location and the Lupins around the cabin really added to the atmosphere, right across the road from beautiful Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepard. It was quiet and secluded, whilst being in walking distance to shops and restaurants.
