Castelo Cottages II

Gostei muito da localização, mesmo perto do Castelo de Monsanto. A casa é muito bonita e antiga, cheia de artefactos e ela mesmo um artefacto. O quarto é especialmente bonito, com uma vista linda!

O pior foi o desconforto térmico. Tivemos de ligar os dois aquecedores e ter a salamandra acesa durante algum tempo. As portas têm frestas pequenas, mas que devem deixar passar o ar frio.

Gemütliches Cottage. Toll gelegen.

Kein persönlicher Kontakt vor Ort wie eigentlich beschrieben. Kein Parkplatz in der Nähe, obwohl ausdrücklich mit gebucht. Langer, steiler Fußweg nachdem wir endlich in den engen und steilen Gassen einen Parkplatz gefunden hatten. Keine Terrasse!

It could be cleaner. Floor and rugs were dirty, a lot of dust.

Nothing about Casttelo Cottages but the Monsanto Geo Hotel Escola we stopped we managed to get intol was excellent

The ignorance of the host, There was no key in the kebox for entry, They refused to answer a message, 2 emails sent via Booking.com and 26 phone calls that I have copy's of and the fact they have 153.90 euros of my money,

Clear instructions for self check in. Very clean and well presented. Upstairs and downstairs toilets. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Well maintained. Well equipped. Super comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi. Great location for walking around the town and up to the castle. Close to a bar and restaurant. The bowl of fresh cherries and bottle of wine were thoughtful touches.

The dining chairs need some repair. The sofa was very hard and not comfortable. The odour of wood smoke in the house took some getting used to. It was June and I didn’t use the fire. The church is close and the bell rang every hour even during the night. No convenient parking.

The property was unique and homely built into the side of a boulder. It was in walking distance to the town sites.

Google maps directed us directly to the property which we found there was no real parking there. It was narrow and difficult to get the car back out. Parking from the property is a quite a walk up steep cobbled street.
