FLH Garden Houses near Ericeira

Belle maison. Emplacement remarquable.

Attention pour les motards, l'accès à la maison est compliqué. Route en gravillons. Et sauf erreur Booking ne le mentionne pas.

The complex of houses is great! The houses all look beautiful. You can see the ocean, there's a nice shared pool, nice little gardens,

The house I booked (the cheapest one) was simply uncomfortable. It's a really old house with almost no natural light, a lot of humidity and the amenities are extremely basic. We planned on working from there but it was impossible because of the bad wifi in the house and the fact that the living room has been used to make an extra "bedroom". To be honest the other houses look like they're probably worth it but I would not recommend the one I booked.

Es ist vor Ort schön ruhig - zumindest, wenn man der einzige Bewohner auf dem Gelände ist, wie wir es zu dem Zeitpunkt waren. Das Bad ist einigermaßen okay bzw. neuer.

Das Gebäude riecht feucht und die Ausstattung ist sehr minimalistisch und extrem in die Jahre gekommen. Wenigstens ein ansprechendes Geschirr und Besteck anstelle einer alten Teller-, Tassen- und Bestecksammlung (siehe Fotos) wäre wünschenswert und ohne großen (Kosten)Aufwand leistbar. Leider war unser Betttuch auch nicht sauber - dafür rochen wenigstens die Handtücher gut und frisch gewaschen. Für 3 Nächte war es für uns nach einem Spülen und abwischen aller Koch-/Essutensilien und Oberflächen okay. Aber definitiv nicht wieder. Dafür ist die Unterkunft auch zu teuer. Das Motto vor Ort "feels like home" war für uns kein bisschen zu erkennen, obwohl wir eigentlich nicht die anspruchsvollsten Menschen/Gäste sind und oft und gerne gute Reisebewertungen abgeben. Hier ist es leider nicht möglich.

Nothing much to like. It was quiet.

Worst place I've ever stayed in. Immediately as I entered the house, the extreme stench of MOLD hit me. I've mentioned this to the host who checked me in with no response from her. It was late at night and I had nowhere else to go so I had to stay the night. Then I realized they used an insane amount of chemical laundry perfume or detergent on all the bed linen, probably to try to cover for the smell of mold and dumpness that is everywhere in the house. I ended up sleeping in the living room with the windows and DOOR open for ventilation and still had a terrible night breathing in the mold and chemical smells of the bed linen, woke up feeling sick. I left after 1 night out of the 3 nights booked. FLH didn't seem bothered at all. I've asked for a refund but they only gave me back 43 eu out of the 290 eu I've paid. Other reviews mention the mold and smell as well, I should have paid more attention to those. This property should not be listed on booking.com. Book at your own risk. I definitely wouldn't recommend.
