Great host, super helpful. Kitchen has everything you need. View is astonishing, localisation is perfect. The best place on Madera we've been to.

The apartment is perfectly located away from the traffic, quiet area, easily accessible. Pharmacy and supermarket very close. The apartment is very well equipped. Check in and check out were extremely smooth. Top restaurant 10min away. 40min to Funchal but still great if you like to be in a quiet area. Heather (the owner) is very kind and lovely, proactively helpful, has a great knowledge of the area and a great spirit. We were very happy to be there, we wouldn't chose to be anywhere else. Definitely recommend!

Very well equipped, well located for exploring the west of the island, beautiful views surrounding you all the way- garden, ocean. Swimming pool is a perfect entertainment after the hiking. Heather is exceptionally careful and helpful, providing us with everything we need and even more. The house is very well equipped, you will find all necessary equipment and detailed instructions. Thank you very much for the perfect stay in Madeira!

The quietness, the comfort, the views over the ocean, the possibility to park inside the estate... The proximity to the most wonderful places on the island: Levada das 7 fontes, Fanal forest... A paradise, if you like hiking. I would like to emphasize the kindness of Heather, the owner, always attentive to make your stay pleasant.

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting guest house, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The property is a verdant paradise, bursting with vibrant flowers and lush greenery at every turn. The house itself is stunning, both inside and out, with every corner radiating charm and comfort. Inside, the house was impeccably furnished, providing every possible amenity one could need for a comfortable stay. From luxurious bathroom supplies to a fully equipped kitchen, nothing was overlooked. The thoughtful touch of having some food and water already available was much appreciated and made our arrival even more welcoming. A special mention must go to the owner of the house, whose warmth and generosity truly set this place apart. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, making us feel incredibly valued and cared for. Her kindness and dedication to her guests' comfort are unparalleled, making our stay not just comfortable, but genuinely heartwarming. This guest house is a gem that I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat. It’s a place where every detail is attended to with love, and where guests are made to feel like family. We can’t wait to return!

We loved everything about the Lavender cottage! The Cabin looks exactly like it does in the pictures and was spacious and clean. The outdoor pool was the missing puzzle piece for making it perfect. The view was also very nice and it was extremely peaceful and quiet up there. We were worried about parking, but there's actually enough room for vehicles. I also appreciated that kitchen comes with everything you need. Even though we arrived very late, Heather was very kind and greeted us with a huge smile and she even left us a nice welcome bag with wine, water, cake, and other tasty treats. The fridge had milk and a few other things for us. Great hospitality!

A big thank-you to Heather for creating this superb accommodation. We have stayed in many studios/apartments over the years and this has been our favourite! The studio was spacious and very comfortable. Superb kitchen area - everything you need to self cater, good storage space and good worktop (marble!) space. We appreciated having an oven and a good-sized fridge-freezer. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was effective and with a good supply of hot water. We loved the various seating areas - living room area, conservatory, outside. We also liked the various lighting options, including the outdoor lights that came on at night-time. There was a good information book, with clear information about, for example, what to do with rubbish, where to shop, and restaurant recommendations. There were also a number of tourist books on Madeira. We loved the decor in the studio - the large framed photos and pictures, the ornaments and the bed linen; a lot of care, love and attention to detail has gone into creating this accommodation. We made good use of the pool and pool area. The pool is small - just 7 strokes (for me) from one end to the other - but there was sunshine at the pool area until late in the day (about 19.00 during our visit). We really appreciated the milk, fruit juice and water that was left in the fridge and the bag of goodies was extremely generous! Very good contact with Heather via WhatsApp - she was the perfect host!

We had a great stay at Banda do Sol. Our host, Heather, was a very warm and helpful person, she even prepared a gift with treats for our arriving. After presenting us the house and giving us useful information about restaurants nearby, she never bothered us. The beds were clean an very comfortable, the kitchen has all the appliances someone could need, the view from the windows was so nice.
