Bloomingdale Beauty near Union Station

Very pretty street in a nice area handy to walk to the MET. Good Italian restaurant just in next street . Loved the African artwork in the lounge. Easy to gain access to the property The equipment met our needs. I locked myself in the bathroom until I realised there is a little tab in the middle of the door handle I had accidentally moved to the lock position .

Anything that wasn’t ideal like number of chairs etc could easily be seen from the hosts room photographs so they were evident before making our booking.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Beautiful home with exquisite art and lots of space. The location was also great, not to mention that the owner responded in seconds (about the parking pass that we needed to request in advance). I would certainly return next time I take my family to D.C.

There is a processing fee for the parking pass.

Clean and spatious accommodation with good wifi network and close to public transportation. Clear instructions from host enabled smooth check in & check out

Home was roomy and well decorated on the main floor. It was clean and we were refreshed once we got inside.

Neighborhood had trash on the streets and appeared unsafe at first. Home was in need of repairs. Tile floors were badly damaged and trim work needs repair.

The owner is too sinister. The landlord purposely set up a trap and charged us to damage her wall, when there was no way we could make it up.

Last month during our 10-days road trip, we had a horrible and terrible experience at this very old apartment, where we were asked to pay $150.00 security deposit after we had finished booking, the only security deposit we were required to pay for during our whole trip. Booking.com said we had to pay. We lost our deposit at the last. On the second and the last day, the faucet of the kitchen ran slow and small, and we told the landlord. Landlord replied “I had arriving guests and the faucet had to be replaced. Before replacing the faucet I had my handyman come to investigate. With much effort he could not fix the problem. A plumber had to come. He said it was damaged and had to be replaced. The new faucet cost $120 and it cost $150 to install it. Please note you were not charged for the purchase of a brand new faucet but charged for the labor to install the new one. “ We asked for the licensed engineer’s investigation report that proved the last and normal use of the old faucet causing the flow of water smaller but not natural worn-out, and as well as the invoice of the installation cost, but she refused to provide. Wondering how many security deposits did the landlord detain in her “30 plus years “ of renting business without providing proofs and invoices? Does IRS know it! ？Were these expenses deducted the rental income, too? Hopefully, justice will be served. The apartment is really old. One bedroom does have an AC, but the plug could not reach the outlets. It was really hot.  The old floor of the bathroom on the third floor was cracking and sinking with small debris, and one of us fell once and got hurt, and was also locked in the bathroom twice and could not get out from inside.

I liked the location, the size of the house and the mattresses were comfortable

I didn’t like that it was all twin beds (which we knew b4 coming) - no TV’s , no large mirrors - the bathrooms need updating - and the parking is terrible. (Spend $ on the parking pass - to still spend $ on Lyft because I didn’t want to loose my parking spot once I found a good one) .. and I should have took pictures when we first got in - we were accused of damaged - that we didn’t do!
