We spent two nights in the Wooden House and it was a pleasant experience. The apartment is located very close to the train station giving you easy access to the Sintra historical center. We found a parking spot 10 mins away from it and we basically reached all the points of interest by foot. The apartment was clean and spacious and after entering from the street it was far enough from the road making it very quiet. The bed was also comfortable! The kitchen has everything you need and we prepared there our own food. The communication with the host was very easy and the self check in went pretty smoothly. I would definitely recommend it as a valid option if you visit Sintra.

Location was excellent, easy walking distance of the train station. Close to excellent restaurant and great food. Town center and attractions within walking distance.

The space was clean. There was coffee--though not enough for two people staying for 3 nights--a tea kettle and dish soap. Books about Portugal were helpful too. The staff was willing to lend me an iron--it was broken and dirty and spilled water everywhere, but it was still functional. The air conditioner worked, but there was no air conditioner in the bedroom.

The accomodations were not as advertised. There was no sofa bed. Just a full sized bed. The staff refused to provide extra linens to use the sofa as a bed. They assumed that 2 adults travelling together are ok sharing a bed even after I explained to them that I booked this place because it had a bed and sofabed. One of the lamps in the bedroom did not work. They refused to provide us with a second set of keys, even though two adults were staying here. The two pillows they provided were lumpy and felt more like old pillows one may keep around for a dog. When I requested 2 more pillows, they also refused. Lastly, even though we paid the city tax (2 euros per night, per person), everyday of our stay, I kept getting reminders to pay. They respond to messages, but several hours later.

There is wrong address on booking. We wasn't able to find the apartment until I've checked the email from the host and found out a different address. (different building number). No window in bedroom, so only air conditioning could bring you fresh air

Close to Sintra Station (5 minutes on foot) The bedding is comfortable, there are enough towels (I wash twice a day)

No shampoo, no body wash. The bathroom sink does not drain well. A big dog barked at the front door, so I was a little scared.

Quiet location, free car parking on street. Next to the train station for those taking the train from Lisbon. Main room had air conditioning to keep it warm - Sintra evenings in December can get chilly.

Host did not even leave a single toilet roll for a new guest, that has never happened to me before. Luckily we had one as we had stayed in our previous rental for a few days and had left one in the hire car. Imagine checking in somewhere unfamiliar late night and realising you need to go find a shop to buy... Also, there is no sofa bed for the 3rd person, there were just 2 2-seater sofas. How they can advertise this and accept bookings for 2 adults and a child of 13 yrs, when there is no sofa bed? It was not comfortable for the child to fit into the sofa but we managed as it was only 2 nights.

The location was quite convenient. The bed was AWFUL, not one comfortable chair or sofa to sit and rest. No response for any of our difficulties. The shower was barely usable, a larger person would find it practically impossible.
