The property offers a breath-taking view of the sea and a beautiful garden where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect spot to relax in the morning or afternoon. Our host was amazing; always available on WhatsApp to assist and answer any questions. She was incredibly kind and caring, making us feel as if we were living in the same home. We truly felt at home. We visited during the Christmas period, and she thoughtfully prepared a Christmas tree for us and left a selection of wines, including red wine and a local sweet variety. It was such a warm gesture. We would definitely return to this place in the future. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and storing food. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet, surrounded by stunning sea views and beautiful nature. We already miss it!

Great location, beautiful views all around the house. Lot’s of spots to sit outside. We loved the outdoor kitchen. Having your personal parking space in Madeira is also a plus.

Downstairs is a bit dark. Would have loved a mosquito net above the bed. And although the people welcoming you are lovely it is a bit inconvenient that someone personally handles the keys (compared to a key lock) when you are only staying for a few days.

This is an old traditional Madeiran villa, a large house with 4 bedrooms. Madeira is very mountainous and the villa is up on the mountain and so has excellent views. This is what we liked: very clean beautiful well kept small tiered garden very good property manager/ host - good communication throughout. welcome wine, cookies, tote bag Excellent view over the ocean Very good washing machine lots of crockery and cutlery - well stocked kitchen coffee and tea and salt and spices are included toweling gowns sun loungers on the roof terrace barbeque facilities off street parking in an automatic lock up garage

This is what we liked less/ didn't like. The house is old and so it can smell mouldy/ damp. I did mention it to the manager - her response, "I don't live there, it's not my house". I found this strange. If you tell the restaurant manager you have a problem with your meal you wouldn't expect to be told "I didn't make it" for instance. De-humidifiers would help. The kitchen smelled particularly mouldy, but note it WAS very clean and I cannot fault the housekeeping of the property. In the house opposite there are 3 small dogs kept on a balcony that bark incessantly on and off through the day and well into the night. The manager is aware of this. I did ask is she could please speak to the neighbours about their dogs. Again I don't know these neighbours because I don't live there". The police can help and hopefully the manager will keep reporting it until the matter is resolved. There is no door to bedroom 3 with the 2 single beds, just a curtain, would be fine for children. Bedroom 4 is accessed through bedroom 3. This was not a problem for us. I moved to bedroom 4 as the dogs were really disturbing me when I stayed in the master bedroom ensuite - what a pity. Not a negative but be very aware the property is high up the mountain. Our long legged, fit and healthy adult son would walk up from the beach to the house - it took 35 minutes to get up the hills. All in all a good villa for a large group, just be aware its an old property and although clean, it does have it's limitations. I hope you found this helpful. Thank you Cecilia for your hospitality.

Alles war einfach perfekt 🌺Cecilia und ihre Familie haben uns herzlichst empfangen. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei, wir fühlten uns bestens betreut. Das Haus ist voll ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage auf dem Berg ca. 200m über Meeresspiegel bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick aufs Meer und Umgebung. Es gibt sogar Bademäntel und Hauslatschen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
