Quinta da Ribeira

The hosts were quite extraordinarily welcoming and hospitable. The accommodation is very characterful. The bed was possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The peace and beauty of the accommodation was even more striking than in the photographs. And very good value for money.

The lack of windows meant it felt a bit airless - I realised the following morning I could have left the back room window open overnight which would have helped. The pillows were not comfortable (small and very soft).

It was beautiful and green, with lots of plants and grass, and it was dog-friendly! Lurdes and Dário were very welcoming and friendly, too.😊 Also nice and close to town.

Tranquil location with nice grounds and twittering birds! Stayed in studio which was large and had everything I needed. It was great for my dog who had a chill out break from 3 days travelling from uk. The couple who own it were welcoming and helpful. It would have been nice to stay longer especially as the weather turned hot and they were preparing to open the pool.

The quinta is located down a long dirt track off the road. Took me sometime to get on the correct route. A sign for the quinta would help at the track entrance..
