Superior Rentals - Downtown Villa

Location, air conditioning, space, comfort, Wifi, Sound proofing of glass, bathrooms are high end. This place is a bit special, putting you right in the heart of Funchal, behind the cities 'Central Park'. Owner is very helpful. We will be back!

Hard to find anything to say here.. There are two flights of fairly steep stairs, these have excellent handrails on both sides, making them safe but not without a small challenge for someone who has difficulty on such. We are 60 but had no problem. Shower temperature control can be a struggle, just find one position and stick to it!

Lovely apartment set out over three levels in the heart of Funchal with balconies overlooking a small park. The perfect location with cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. There is also an excellent shopping center with a grocery store an approximate 5 minutes walk. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine which we found very useful.

There is no oven or toaster oven, just a microwave.

We did not have a car but I don’t believe there is parking available .

No where to park if you wanted to hire a car.

Great location in Funchal city center. Walk distance to many restaurants, events (jazz festival during our stay), coast, etc. Very comfortable 3 floors flat for 2 couples with bathroom on every floor.

Nothing but worth to consider that it is not easy to park a car nearby but possible and not expensive if using car over day or park in private parking located 5 min walk distance.

The apartment was in effect a house so lots of space and upgraded, so very modern. Fully equipped kitchen and nice outdoor terrace overlooking the park in the centre of the old town. The best accommodation we had in our time in Madeira. Great location and quiet at night. Would suit two couples as it has two bedrooms with own good sized bathrooms and an additional downstairs bathroom with the living area. It was perfect for us to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. There is a great bakery (not touristic) nearby for breakfast as well - near to the plaza shopping centre.

The front door opened straight onto the small and at times busy cobbled street so had to be careful coming and going. Other than that the property was well stocked (but could have a new kitchen sink plug) and there was nothing to want! Perfect really.

Lovely property in an excellent downtown location. Great communication from the host Miguel. Instructions were clear and you can be sure that he will deal with any minor issues should they occur.
