Cold bathroom.

The property was amazing, with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The location was quiet, and beautiful with views from the deck out across the trees to the sea. The log burner was set up ready to light and it easily heated the property.

The property was filled with beautiful collected and designed artifacts which enhanced it's quiet, calm ambience. It was a truly beautiful space to stay. A lot of work had gone into creating a wonderfully designed, quirky space that had all the elements for modern living. It would be a lovely place to visit for a meditation retreat. The forest seemed to embrace the house with quiet serenity.

The bathroom was off the entrance hall and on the days we were there it was cold so use. The freezer was very small.

Nothing much in Barrytown to see or do.

One of the best experience about West Coast trip. Every corner is elaborately decorated, every inch is meticulously arranged. This is not only perfect, but also a wonderful memory for us to come here. 


Wow, what an incredible place! Wish we could have stayed longer. By sheer coincidence we booked this very last minute and it exceeded all our expectations. Beautifully decorated, very homey, spacious and with everything you need. Even a cd player with cd’s, dvd’s, fresh flowers, board games etc.

This is a unique, eclectic property. It has two full bedrooms, a spacious living area, patio/garden, and well equipped kitchen. Both a washer and dryer are available. It is like a "cabin" experience in many ways. There is only a central wood-burning stove for heating, and the bathroom is separated (not heated) from the main living area, accessed from the entry room. You are surrounded by gardens and the forest, with a peek of the ocean from the patio. It is very private.

If it is cooler, you need to be comfortable managing the wood-burning stove. And, if you warm it up too much, be aware there are no screens on the windows. Pay attention that you take note of the door code that you will receive ahead of time. The owner may not be home when you arrive.
