White Sands Retreat

We were at the tail end of a two week cross country business trip so having a house instead of a hotel was appealing. This home had the right amount of rooms, seating areas, full size fridge, laundry and in a quiet neighborhood as far as no barking dogs & loud neighbors.

There is a “For Sale” sign in the driveway with the ability to schedule a tour, which is unnerving when you leave the house with your items still there. I messaged the host a few times and they never responded. The soaps and toilet paper were out without restock. There were dead cockroaches throughout- we stopped counting after 6. The neighborhood is also a less desirable location we learned. Slow rolling cars staring at you, cat calls from traffic on the main road, sirens every other hour, condemned homes nearby and a strong drug scene.

Location was great. Communication was quick.

Grill was dirty so we did not use it.

Check-in was simple and easy. Plenty of toiletries.

The water pressure in the main shower was weak.
