The mini house is a really cool getaway as a couple. The mezzanine bedroom really gives the place a feeling of luxury. The location for views is amazing although we never saw the full sunset in our week here it was still awesome to look out from both floors to the vast sea and skies. The outdoor space is good too. The location was a great base to explore the north and west of the island.

So this is not about the property but the "access" of getting to it. Most likely anyone booking here will be driving to the property so please be warned Google maps wants to take you down a street called Travessa da Igreja - DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THIS ROAD....... drive past and Google will reset you on the safer wider tarmac route. We followed Google and got stuck on the bend down Travessa on 3 wheels!!!!! Thank you to Jose, Conys husband who saved us. They said we weren't the only ones and a sign will be put to say don't go down in the future but who knows when that will be. It's so much easier driving the right way to the property 🙃

Accomodation is located in a very quite small village, perfect for getting away from the hectic city life. What we enjoyed the most was garden with barbeque equipment, deckchairs and beach umbrella. We spent there long lazy morning with coffee and delicious Madeira cake and in the evening we grilled douradas and drank Madeira wine. We also cooked quick lunches in the kitchen, that was fully equipped. Ocean view is splendid. I would also like to add that there are roller shutters on the windows in the house, so you have your privacy and darkness in the night, I didn't see them on the booking photos, but they are there :)

The mattress was too hard for me, but my boyfriend didn't mind.
