"Great place for exploring Madeira for couples/small families"

Loved Mrs Martha, she was so nice and accommodating, cleaniness, so near to supermarket, buses, restaurants. Got lucky with the buses as they seemed to turn up when and where we wanted to go but they are not clear with what their number is and where they go. If in doubt ask! Like the hardcopy leaflets available.

Having to remember to tidy everything up to avoid coming back to ants. Aeroplane noise was loud when taking off to the South west (i.e. right in front of property) but it can save on transport costs as it only takes 20mins to walk to and from the airport. Buses were complicated to understand and websites not the clearest. Didn't like having a bathroom away from thw bedroom, and although quirky, didn't like the spiral staircase. Wind can be an issue so be careful with windows and shutters. Balcony is over a sheer drop so be careful with walking out on it and hanging things on the line.

Antonio and the other hosts were extremely helpful. Assisting with my use of the stovetop and the laundry machine. They also offered transport tips and tips about sights to visit.
