A Janela Do Castelo

Location is wonderful.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The house had several serious issues that were not visible in the photos or described in the listing. We discovered mold in both bedrooms – including behind and under the bed, which we only noticed because we had to move it while trying to catch geckos in the room. There was also a strong chemical smell upon arrival, likely from bug spray, which caused our children to start coughing. The house felt poorly ventilated and generally not well maintained. The furniture was very old and worn, which was not obvious in the pictures. We paid €260 for one night for a family of six – and expected much better. We also couldn’t use the terrace, as several cats kept coming way too close to us, which made it uncomfortable and annoying to sit outside. When I reported all these issues in a polite and respectful tone, the owner responded in a shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful way – with emojis, sarcasm, and accusations, rather than offering any kind of solution or apology. He completely dismissed the problems and made it clear he had no interest in improving the experience for future guests. We couldn’t move to another place because everything else in the area was fully booked. We made the best of the situation, but I cannot recommend this property – especially not for families with children or anyone who values cleanliness, fresh air, and basic respect from a host.

A casa era incrível, óptimas vistas, espaçosa, tudo óptimo.

Era aconchegante , casa super limpa, uma jacuzzi maravilhosa e a vista de tirar o folego 😍😍😍. O anfitriâo sempre muito atencioso, passou algumas dicas pra levar ..Era a comemoração do aniversário do meu namorado , perguntei ao senhor José Luiz , se podia conseguir me um vinho,e ele com o melhor detalhe nos deixou um delicioso bolo 🎂, eu não esperava por esse detalhe ...Com certeza voltaria mais vezes nesse lugar encantador ❣️ Super recomendo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great location n beautiful house

A Janela Do Castelo is just right outside the castle. It was really peaceful and quiet there. The views of the castle and the surrounding countryside were amazing. The house itself is really secure and quiet. It was nice to go down to the garden and sit in the bubbling jets of the hot tub. Also, A Janela Do Castelo is quite close to the parking area outside the castle walls, so getting to and from the house was simple and easy.

I'm trying really hard to think of something negative about the place, but I just can't think of anything. In my opinion it's the perfect place to stay in Monsaraz.
