Casa da Avó

Loved the terrace on the top floor - fab views from a great suntrap. Location was great, just a 10 minute stroll to the centre of town yet still quiet for sleeping. Excellent wifi throughout the house. Most things we needed were available - washing machine, cooking utensils etc

There were several little 'maintenance' jobs which need doing e.g. cupboards with dodgy door hinges, broken bulb in bedside lamp, pieces of crockery with chips, shower tiles need re-grouting, cleaning behind beds. All pretty minor but need sorting.

We liked the quiet location in the old town which was within easy walking distance of both the bus and train stations. The small patio area at the back of the property was perfect for alfresco breakfasts and the upstairs balcony provided great views of the other seasonal visitors; the storks who were nesting on nearby church's and chimneys. Comfortable property suitable for both famlies and small groups of up to four.

It's not really a critism but if you have difficulty with stairs then this property would present challenges as bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs.

Lovely house in a great location. Shops, cafes, bars, and culture all very close by. Loved the terraces and views - watching the storks was a highlight! Fernanda was very easy to deal with and quick to respond to queries. Highly recommended!

Fernanda met with me to hand over the keys and showed me everything. Her excursion tips and undisguised friendliness were great - MUITO OBRIGADA! The house is a row house in a fairly quiet road near Faro's center. You will walk for about 5 - 10 minutes. Parking spaces are usually available, you always find one nearby. It would be an about 10 - 15 minutes´ walk to the train station. In the house you can find so much space on three floors, with 3 sleeping facilities, two bathrooms and balconies. The kitchen is equipped with everything, dishes are more than enough and the dishwasher is great. The Air Condition is quickly and quietly. We felt very comfortable.

There are some spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, you should ventilate well.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay here in mid-October. The house is beautiful, and in a lovely quiet location, just a short stroll from the centre of the old town. Having two terraces was great - we had breakfast on the downstairs terrace each morning, and enjoyed nightcaps on the upstairs terrace - perfect! We couldn't fault the accommodation, and would definitely recommend it.

Fernanda responded to all my questions in a timely manner and with clear instructions, there was water and juice and milk and coffee and eggs and bread - so kind - we landed late and departed late and the host let us stay until the afternoon at no extra charge:) we were able to refresh after a day at the beach.

Excellent location. Clean and beautifully presented. Lovely to have been left breakfast items for our first morning after checking in late.
