Setting with views of the mountains around. Comfortable well equipped house. Good outdoor space for breakfast/coffee/wine/reading well equipped with outdoor furniture. Friendly welcome by the owner who was very helpful. The nearby small town of Sao Vicente is pleasant and has a reasonably good small supermarket. Location good for all the north coast of Madeira which is much less crowded than places nearer Funchal.

The access road is very steep but ok to drive if you don't meet an oncoming vehicle (which we didn't in three weeks). Google nav tells you that you're there a few hundred metres too soon; owner will give you guidance by phone (excellent English).
