Somewhere over the Rainbow Loft with AC Hilo

The facility was stocked with beach items, though we did not get to use due to rain everyday. The location was close to many sightseeing areas, stores, beach areas. The accommodations were comfortable for all (5)of us, showers/bathrooms furnished w/toiletries, towels, and privacy. The decorations and supplies were all rainbow themed, very cute. Multiple games and books about the area. Washer & dryer provided(outside & shared)

When we arrived, I did not have a code, we are thinking the email address was not correct-I tried calling multiple numbers, (at least a dozen times)as well as emails and did not get a response for over 2 hours. It was pouring rain, we could not just walk around, ended up going to a few stores(we had to use the facilities-we had driven over from the Kona side of the island). When we received the entry code, we were able to enter and unpack. The ice maker in the freezer was only making small amounts of ice then it would stop for 1/4 of the day. Looking out the back of the house was a run down industrial building that had a toilet sitting outside, along with a large amount of garbage and old parts.

Attention to detail great. Thought of everything. Clever decor. The 1/2 bath worked ok. We made it work for two couples.

Not really walkable. DT Hilo is a mixed bag. Some good restaurants.

Great location, easy walk to shops and supermarket. Great facilities, there were even games for the kids

The property was clean and close to town. The property was spacious and felt like home.

The beds were super soft and the driveway was really low. I kept scraping the bottom of the car going in and out. I wish there was an ac on the main floor.

Cute, updated and clean unit, kitchen well stocked, comfortable seating area to hang out. Close to downtown, could walk to shops and Farmer's Market. The manager was very accommodating and polite when I communicated. Laundry outside shared with next door unit (this is a duplex). Parking right out front of unit, off of the street. There were lots of beach toys and snorkel gear to borrow. Would stay here again!

There is not a great porch area to eat out on, but there wasn't one advertised, just an FYI. Also, the AC is only upstairs in the bedrooms, not in the living area. We could have used AC during the day downstairs, but at night with the windows open in the bedrooms we didn't need it to sleep.

The decoration is thoughtful and the theme of rainbow is lovely. Unit is clean, has all the essentials and has quite some beach gears. Owner is very responsive. The gift coffee, it was pretty good.

Doesn’t have dish washer. Laundry door is kind of tricky.

It was beautifully furnished and super comfortable. I had the best sleep of my life !

The water pressure was pretty low but that’s ok.

Es war nicht zu eng für 4 Personen.

Es gab nur Doppelbetten, keine Einzelbetten für Nichtpaare. Es gab zwar nur ein Bad, aber immerhin noch ein zweites WC.

We liked the location. We could explore the town on foot from our unit. The place was spotless, sunny and bright. Parking was a breeze. Kitchen was well equipped. Back porch had comfy chairs from which to watch the sunsets. The ceiling fans were adequate. Didn't need to turn on the air conditioners in the upstairs bedrooms. With the windows open there was a nice breeze coming off the ocean. Lots of other pluses: beach towels and chairs, snorkeling odds and ends, ice maker, barbeque & TV (didn't use either).

Knives weren't very sharp.
