Somewhere over the Rainbow Loft with AC Hilo

We’d come from the Waikola Hilton and arriving at the Rainbow was such a relief! Everything we could need was supplied! The rainbow decor was super cute, beach towels, boogie board, lawn chairs and even games supplied. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements! And ice maker in fridge as well! Supplied Soaps were really lovely too! Beds were comfy, Sack and Save store 4 min walk, as well as downtown amenities. Thanks to this 5* host, highly recommended The Pretty’s

The Over the Rainbow loft was comfortable, clean and the hosts provided beach towels, snorkel gear, plus a lot of other beach gear including chairs and sun shade umbrella. There were so many little touches that made our experience great. The local coffee and cookies, the full kitchen, after sun lotion, big spray, travel toothbrush, first aid kit, and more. There were plenty of towels. There's also a washer and dryer which we couldn't find - it's outside in the garage of the property directly in front. The parking spot is right outside your door. Overall, the Over the Rainbow loft is a great place to stay, the location is ideal as a base and for food options. Bedding was comfortable and you have everything you require for your stay - whether short or extended. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay again on our next visit to Hilo.

Location and facilities

No washing machine

Location was key!! It was central to all of our activities!! Within walking distance to the farmers market n local food joints. Felt safe and secure.

Even with thorough directions of how to get to the place, we were a bit confused.. but eventually found it!! Possibly because we arrived late n self and it was dark.. so we couldn’t really gauge where we were n what the area looked like.

they included so many small details that made the experience better (toiletries, ear plugs, snorkeling gear, beach towels, etc), they left some little gifts for us which was amazing and the place was decorated so cute and it was very clean

AC wasn’t turned on for when we arrived so it took hours to cool down

Very cute place. Great communication from our hosts from booking to check out. Lots of nice little details including a welcome basket. Location was close to town and only minutes from the airport,

There was a fly problem - spent hours trying to kill 3 flies! Also living room very hnvonfortable without a/c. Noticed cleaners leave door open.
