"Quiet, private refuge."

It was quiet and private. A good kitchen was valuable. Some folks can’t stand the chorus of Coqui song, but i found it soothing as I fell asleep.

I felt bad that this modest apartment, which was probably affordable housing for locals, has become a pricey tourist accommodation.

"The host had beach towels, chairs and snorkels. Unbrella's for those rainy days in Hilo."

The house was cozy and felt like a home away from home. The host thought of everything you would need that you couldn't pack. The gifts from local vendor's was such a nice touch. The location was awesome, so close to everything!

Getting out of the driveway. It would scrap the underneath of the van. Best to have a higher vehicle or SUV. It's wasn't that bad though!
