Farm of Dreams Algarve

I think this is the most beautiful and cozy homestay I have ever stayed in. The yard is very quiet and comfortable, and the facilities in the house are complete, just like being at home. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. It can be seen that the owner Steven has put a lot of effort into decorating and maintaining this place, trying to give people on the journey a good experience as much as possible. It is very rare. And Steven is a very enthusiastic person, he will assist you as much as possible and meet your needs. As soon as I arrived, he helped me rent a car, which added a lot of convenience to my subsequent travel. I am really very grateful, I want to recommend this place to everyone, you must come, it will be the most unforgettable experience in your life.

Great location and facilities. Good value for money. Close to all the amenities of Almancil and the beaches/restaurants aswell as easy access to surrounding towns and villages yet quiet location. Steven was on hand if we needed anything - always with a smile! Kitchen brilliantly equipped and generous with supplies. Lots of dishwasher tabs for example and Steven told us to give him a shout if we needed any more and not to buy any ourselves - really nice touch as these sorts of things can be expensive when you have to buy in bulk from the supermarket when you only need a few! Steven even got in touch the day before given we had late flights, to stock the fridge for our arrival. Really thoughtful - thank you Steven! He even sorted our car hire too :-) Thanks for the bottle of fizz ready for our arrival!!

Steven and Tereza are very hospitable, love what they do and are always directly and in a likeable manner available. They also gave us lots of insider tips about the country, people, restaurants etc. The property is beautifully landscaped and you can see that the hosts not only ensure the daily (!) "TippiToppi", but are also constantly working on the further development of the Farm of Dreams. The pool, trampoline, mini-golf and table tennis are great for families with children; the sauna also completes the package for (grand)parents. They have thought of many little things in the household like an electronic orange squeezer or Netflix. I can't imagine that there is anyone in the world with whom Steven doesn't immediately hit it off.

Steven was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble, he communicated with us via WhatsApp during our stay and responded quickly when we asked something - such as do you have a parasol we could borrow for the beach? The answer was yes and he had delivered it to us within half an hour. He also sent us restaurant recommendations for the area. Steven met us promptly when we arrived and gave us a tour. The grounds and property were beautiful. The shared ‘play’ area in the middle of the property was fab and would suit children of all ages, a sunken trampoline, climbing area with slide and mini golf. The pool was fantastic and had a glass fence the whole way around, so very secure for little ones. The property was a short drive from local restaurants, beautiful beaches and handy supermarkets. Technically within walking distance but we didn’t do the walk, we would have found it better in the evenings if we had been staying slightly closer to restaurants but this is no fault of Farm of Dreams. The kitchen and cooking facilities in the property were fantastic and things like coffee pods, water, fruit and beer were given to us when we arrived with the option of asking for more coffee if we needed it. The villa was very clean, had plenty of space and a highchair and cot were provided for our little boy (along with pool floats and a box of toys)! We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a washing machine in the villa and the option of using a communal washing line or dryer if we needed it. We had a brilliant time at Farm of Dreams and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, Steven was an excellent host and a very friendly and helpful man!

The mattress in the master bedroom was too soft, you sank into the bed and it was difficult to get out of. I am sure this is comfy for some but a medium firm mattress is more suitable for all I think. The large shower head in the shower room was broken, meaning the water only came out of the smaller head, showers were still possible and neither of these things affected our stay so weren’t mentioned at the time.

We have had an amazing stay ! Steven and his wife are so lovely and helpful. We had a very early flight and have a baby, and Steven allowed us to arrive straight away, which was much appreciated ! He also let us stay later on our day of departure. The gardens and pool area are fantastic and so beautifully kept. We have had an great relaxing holiday and would love to return again soon. A perfect family holiday!
