Pheasant's Crest

This is our 2nd stay at Pheasant's. We love the comfort and the position of the cottage is just right. We also love the new addition of the splash pool. We love the aircon that helps with the extremely hot days.

When you stay more than 4 days, the septic tank for the toilet starts to smell really bad.

It's such a cute place with everything two people could need. The animals coming to visit when you feed them makes for an amazing experience. Alexa helping out with the lights etc was a fun addition

If heaven had a bushveld branch, this would be it! 🌿🔥 Pheasant’s Crest is the kind of place that makes you consider quitting your job and moving into the bush full-time. The vibe? Immaculate. That deck with the pool, comfy couches, and outdoor braai area? Absolute bliss! We spent hours just lounging and listening to the sounds of nature (and our 80s rock playlist, thanks to our new BFF, Alexa 🕺🎶). The living space is perfectly sized — not too big, not too small — and has everything you need without any of the fluff you don’t. The bedroom is cosy and romantic, with a mosquito net draped above the bed like something out of a safari fairytale. And then there’s that bathroom... a bath with a view? Yes please, and thank you. 😍 We felt completely private, surrounded by bushveld beauty, and genuinely didn’t want to leave. It’s the perfect escape, and let’s just say we’re already planning our next visit. Because once you’ve braaied under the stars here, there’s no going back. Pheasant’s Crest: 10/10. Would move in. 🐘🌅🛁

We could have stayed longer

A quirky property, with lovely braai area ( though braai hadn't been cleaned ). The visits from a variety of animals were exciting. Alexa was novel for us, and good to have wifi.

Many maintenance issues which we have reported to the owner; splash pool would have been usable and welcome if it had had a means of getting in and out eg some sort of step;

The pool was dirty, and the sheets had stains. But overall everything was perfect.
