There is ample space, and the bedding and linen was all fresh, with clean towels laid out for all expected guests as well as any extras that may not have been booked for. There was milk in the fridge, and some lovely crunchies, and the necessary tools and makings for coffee and tea. The gas heater worked really well, and kept us warm on the very cold nights! It felt like our home away from home!

There was an option to use the fireplace, and we were warned to supply our own wood, but we expected to find matches, but couldn't find any. This was fine when there was power, but when there was no power, we were unable to use the gas hob to heat water, as we could not light the gas (so not having a fire was not an issue - it was more not being able to make a nice hot cup of coffee or tea. We got matches the next day, and it was a definite improvement. We did feel that the windows could all have curtains in order to keep out some of the cold air out that inevitably creeps in via the smallest of openings!
